How Mimo handles your photo
In short: your photo never leaves your device, and we don’t keep it.
What happens to the photo
- The photo you upload or take opens only in your browser. The mask, frame and text are added on your device.
- Mimo has no server for photos: we never receive, see or store your images.
- The photo and any picture you use for your own frame are removed from the page’s memory when you press “Delete photo”, close or reload the page, or after 20 idle minutes.
- The finished card is saved on your device only when you press “Download” or “Share file” yourself.
Consent
Before your first photo we ask you to confirm that you agree to it being processed on your device. Consent lasts until the end of the session and is kept only in this browser tab (sessionStorage).
Sharing
The social buttons and the QR code pass on only a link to Mimo and the holiday name — never the photo. If you signed the card, the name from the “From” field is added to the link so the recipient can see who it is from.
Visit statistics
To understand how many people use Mimo and from which countries, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn’t track you across sites and doesn’t store your IP address: Cloudflare only derives the country from it. We see totals only — visits, countries, device types — and never your photos.
What is stored in your browser
Only the site language you chose (localStorage) and the consent flag for the session (sessionStorage). We use no cookies.
Donations
Support buttons lead to third-party services (Monobank, Donatello, Patreon, PayPal). Their privacy terms apply separately from Mimo.
Children
If you are under 14, add photos together with a parent.
